CALORIE COUNT TO STOP PUTTING ON THE EXTRA KILOS, BEING OBESE & HAVE MORE SEX
Could the consumption of alcohol be making people fatter?
And when people get fatter, it affects their sexual health. A rise in estrogen levels indicates a lowering of essential sex hormones for healthy sexual functioning. We all know that obesity is detrimental to healthy bodily functioning. It places stresses upon the body, which would not have appeared in a much healthier physical state. The body is not the only sufferer in obesity, the mind is as well.
There is evidence pointing to alcohol as a link in the chain of reaction for obesity. When alcohol is in your body and your body is burning up those calories, it is not burning up the calories from food eaten. These unused calories are stored for use later.
Mixing alcohol with its buddies, like soft drinks and juices, the alcohol calories get burnt up but the calories from the buddies may not. Combine this with an unhealthy dietary intake and the results speak for themselves ~ e.g. when the body is having to store large quantities of unused fat calories it can be outwardly seen in forms such as the “beer belly.”
Of course obesity is not the only health risk to drinking alcohol regularly and repeatedly.
With constant and excessive drinking comes the risk of liver impairment, which may lead to it being inflamed and fatty, even leading on to cirrhosis. As the list of associated health risks continues, it becomes more alarming. Breast cancer, diabetes, brain damage, to name a few. Think. How could these health problems impact on your ability to have sex?
Reflecting upon what we drink, how we drink it, when we drink it, may assist us in curbing weight gain, and give us a healthier and happier life.
