EXPOSING LIMITING BELIEFS  -  VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Presently my voice has deserted me.  You may know through experience, or know of someone who has had laryngitis.

Until now, I did not realize how reliant we, as adults are on using our voices to communicate when we are face to face.

In the Supermarket yesterday, I approached the Deli Section, when a friendly face, that of a woman, behind the counter asked me what I would like.  As I touched my woolen wrapped throat with my hand, I also mouthed that I could not speak up.  With my voice no louder than a whisper, I leaned forward for my words to reach the shop attendant’s ear, “Chicken fillets please.”

Verbal communication, limited as it was, assisted our communication which was mainly in gestures and body language.  I managed to have a successful shop, gathering everything that I needed.

The Secret – illness can provide the opportunity to overcome our limiting beliefs about life events, thus relinquishing a prehistoric mindset.

Talk with you again,

Shele.
